Thai yoga massage has been practiced for centuries in Thailand. In this unique healing art, the therapist guides the recipient through a series of yoga postures while massaging the body's energy lines and pressure points. This course will give you a strong introduction to Thai yoga massage and how it works. A DVD and online video is included demonstrating many Thai yoga techniques.

This Course Will Present:

  • The history, origin, and theory of Thai yoga massage
  • The benefits and contraindications to Thai yoga massage
  • How Thai Yoga Massage is practiced in Thailand and how it works on the body
  • An introduction to basic postures and palpation techniques used in Thai yoga massage
  • DVD and online video (approximately 40 minutes) with technique demonstrations

You Will Receive: Thai Yoga Massage textbook, by Kam Thye Chow, introductory step-by-step DVD and online video (about 40 minutes), guide with instructions, exam of 70 questions, course evaluation, certificate of achievement upon completion, and unlimited phone support for any of your questions.

About the Instructor

Kam Thye

Kam Thye

Native of Malaysia, Kam Thye was raised in the tradition of Asian arts and healing customs. He had practiced Tai Chi Chuan and Chinese massage since the age of 13 and had studied Kung Fu and Chi Gong for more than 20 years.

Kam Thye was a resident of Thailand for many years and during this time followed the instructions of Asokananda, who was himself a pupil of the renowned Thai Massage masters, Chaiyuth Priyasith and Piched Boonthumme. Eventually, the pupil became the teacher and Kam Thye spent many years instructing martial arts and Thai Massage in North America, Asia and Europe.
