Oregon massage therapists must complete 25 hours of continuing education during each renewal period to renew their massage therapy license. At least 8 of the 25 hours must be supervised continuing education, and at least 4 of those supervised hours must be in Professional Ethics, Boundaries, or Communication.
Oregon also requires at least 1 hour of Cultural Competency and requires each licensee to complete the Pain Management module provided by the Oregon Pain Management Commission (OPMC) at least once. Massage therapists must also maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
