Please understand that massage laws change
frequently and vary from state to state. We will
try to provide you with the most current
information possible.
It is our understanding that currently, Florida
massage therapists are required to complete 24
CE hours every 2 years plus at least 1 CE hour
in HIV/AIDS. Florida therapists renew every odd
numbered year on or before August 31. Of your 24
CE hour requirement, you can complete up to 12
CE hours in home study/online format. We are an
approved provider for the state of Florida so
you can use any of our courses to fulfill 12
hours of your coursework. Our Florida approved
provider number is 50-7946.
In addition, of those 24 CE hours (and in
addition to the HIV requirement) therapists must
complete the following required coursework:
- At least 2 CE hours in Ethics, which may
be taken through home study/online
coursework
- At least 2 CE hours in prevention of
medical errors, which may be taken though
home study/online coursework
- At least 2 CE hours in Florida Laws and
Rules, which may be taken through home
study/online coursework
We have the following package which can meet
your required coursework (you can also select 5
additional hours to meet your 12 CE hour maximum
of home study/online education):
Florida Mandatory Courses Set – 7 CE hours
