Please understand that massage laws change frequently and vary from state to state. We will try to provide you with the most current information possible. It is our
understanding that Michigan is the 42nd state to pass massage legislation regulating massage. January 2011 is the goal for the board to begin the licensure process.
It is also our understanding that once licensed, you will need to complete
18 hours of continuing education for each 3-year license cycle. Michigan will
accept continuing education hours relating to the practice of massage therapy
so you can complete all of your 18 CE hours through us.
You can verify this information or contact the state of Michigan with further
questions by visiting the
Michigan Board of Massage or by calling 517-373-3740.
Please note that all of our courses can be used for NCBTMB (National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork) recertification, our approved provider
number is 409296-00. You may also use any of our CE courses for renewal with organizations such as the AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association) and ABMP (Associated
Bodywork and Massage Professionals).
