| Washington Continuing
Education Requirements |

Please understand that
massage laws change frequently and vary from
state to state. We will try to provide you with
the most current information possible.
It is our understanding that currently,
Washington massage therapists must complete 24
CE hours every 2 years, with 4 CE hours in
ethics (2 of the 4 ethics hours must be in Roles
and Boundaries). From reading the continuing
education requirements listed on their
website,
it is our understanding that you can take up to
16 CE hours in home study/online format (12 CE
hours + 4 CE hours in ethics). The remaining 8
CE hours must come from direct hands on courses,
such as an on site seminar. The board will only
accept 4 CE hours of the Sports Massage and the
Chair Massage courses because they use only
DVD’s. Please contact the Washington massage
therapy board at 360-236-4857 for final
clarification of approval.
You can verify this information or contact the
state of Washington with further questions by
visiting the
Washington Board of Massage.
Please note that all of our courses can be used
for NCBTMB (National Certification Board for
Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork)
recertification, our approved provider number is
409296-00. You may also use any of our CE
courses for renewal with organizations such as
the AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association)
and ABMP (Associated Bodywork and Massage
Professionals).
